On May 6, 2024, Kingdom Holdings held the 2024 Istanbul Linen Day by the Sea of Marmara in Istanbul, Türkiye. The event welcomed 142 representatives from across the global linen industry, including both upstream and downstream strategic partners, to share key insights and discuss trends shaping the future of the linen sector.

The event opened with a welcome speech by Ergin Turanli, Kingdom’s sole agent in Türkiye.

Following this, Mr. Ren Weiming, Chairman of the Board of Kingdom Holdings, delivered a keynote speech titled “From Supply Chain to ‘Win-Win Chain’ — The Sustainable Future of Linen.” Mr. Ren emphasized Türkiye’s significance as a strategic market for Kingdom and acknowledged the vital role Turkish linen textile enterprises play globally. As one of the world’s largest linen yarn suppliers, Kingdom is committed to driving sustainable development in the industry, providing enhanced support for its clients, and creating greater value.

The event featured several insightful presentations:

Hu Congcong, European Regional Manager of Kingdom Holdings Marketing Center, shared key data on the linen supply chain.

Vincent Depestele, Chairman of Europe’s largest private flax scutching group, Le Groupe Depestele, spoke about the state of European flax raw materials.

Zhang Jiahuan, from Kingdom’s Sustainability Office, presented Kingdom’s Sustainability Report.

Sinan Sefai, Material Procurement Manager for Mavi, a globally renowned denim brand, delivered a brand-focused keynote.

The event also included a Linen Supply Chain Seminar, where participants engaged in lively discussions on pressing issues across the linen supply chain. These conversations fostered valuable exchanges of ideas and insights, culminating in a vibrant Q&A session that brought the event to an exciting close.
